The Mains Examination of IBPS PO exam 2018 comprises of 4 + 1(Descriptive Paper) sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Quantitative, Aptitude & General Awareness. Apart from the preliminary exam and the mains exam, an interview process is also conducted for candidates who have qualified the first two phases of IBPS PO 2018 exam.
The final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by a candidate in his mains exam and his interview process.
Major changes are noticed in IBPS PO Mains Exam 2018. Let’s have a look at all the changes one by one.
- The IBPS PO Main exam has 4 sections with a total score of 200 marks that has to be completed within a time frame of 180 minutes.
- The number of questions asked in IBPS PO Mains 2018 has been reduced to 155.
- IBPS has introduced a descriptive paper in its mains exam for selection of candidates to the post of Probationary officer.
- The time duration for completing the multiple sections has also been altered. The number of questions as well as the maximum marks of each section has also been altered.
- There will be no particular section for Computer Applications. Reasoning section has been teamed up with Computer Aptitude section that will comprise of 45 questions carrying a total of 60 marks that needs to be completed within 60 minutes.
IBPS Clerk
IBPS Clerk 2018 exam is going to be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select candidates for the clerical cadre in multiple Government as well as Public Sector banks all over the country. The IBPS Clerk 2018 exam will be conducted on two levels- preliminary exam and mains. No interview process is required for the selection to the post of Clerk. Merit List is made based on the cumulative score of both Preliminary Examination as well as Mains Examination.
IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern
IBPS conducts exams for post of Clerical Cadre in two different stages: Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. The candidates are required to qualify both the stages to be listed in the merit list prepared after conduction of both the exams.

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

IBPS Clerk Syllabus
The basic subjects that a candidate needs to master are Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language. The syllabus for both Preliminary Exam and the Mains Exam are different. A candidate is also required to be proficient in Computer and must have General Awareness knowledge specifically in the field of Banking.
